Join our client in Information Security as a Senior Cloud Security Engineer and be part of a team that designs, builds, and deploys solutions that protect our client’s platform and their customers’ data. Your mission will be to ensure that the environment and customer data remain secure. You will be both a technical SME as well as an influencer, where you will be expected to interact with diverse teams such as product management, development, and SRE/DevOps to drive security throughout the entire platform and product.

As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will:

    • Architect, configure, and operate public cloud security controls
    • Be the Subject Matter Expert on public cloud security with a focus on Google Cloud Platform
    • Design and implementation of IAM and access control
    • Design, implement, and maintain security infrastructure and services
    • Assess and audit cloud security configuration
    • Create cloud security standard operating procedures and best practices
    • Build continuous monitoring to validate systems against security baselines
    • Research new security tools, recommend new technologies, and deploy best-of-breed products

Your Qualifications:

    • Proven ability to secure public cloud based infrastructure, architect secure solutions, and configure cloud native security controls.
    • Ensure the adoption of security and configuration best practices across Fivetran public cloud infrastructure
    • Architect, deploy, and maintain security tools and services including, but not limited to: WAF, Anomaly Detection, Vulnerability Management, and Threat Detection
    • Skilled in implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM) and knowledge of best practices to support least privilege access
    • Experience in container-based deployments, container scanning tools, and orchestration tools (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, GKE, AquaSec, Twistlock)
    • Ability to research and validate security vulnerabilities, and propose solutions for remediation or mitigation
    • Possess working knowledge of encryption and key management fundamentals
    • Collaborative experience working closely with product teams, SRE/DevOps, and developers to define security requirements
    • Serve a pivotal role in detecting and responding to security incidents, including evidence collection, evidence preservation, forensic analysis, threat mitigation, remediation, and root cause analysis.
    • Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical domains

Nice-to-haves:

    • Google Cloud Certification – Professional Cloud Security Engineer
    • Experience with SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response)
    • Project or program management experience
    • Experience with one or more Infrastructure-as-Code tools, such as Terraform
    • Experience writing SQL queries
