We have a client in Orlando who is seeking a software engineer to work with their state of the art multi-platform game engine which leverages its proprietary technical advantages to empower game creators to shape games and push the boundaries of what they can achieve. Creating and applying leading-edge technology in the gaming industry is not easy but it is increasingly the difference-maker between an evolutionary game and a revolutionary one.
What you would be doing:
The main responsibility is to assist, support and/or partner with game teams using this game engine to do integration work, which includes (but not limited to) the following:
- Integrate and resolve merge conflicts
- Fix Code build errors
- Perform data upgrades
- Ensure game engine autotests are working correctly
- Work closely with the domain teams to resolve any issue caused by the integration
- Provide Critical support when changes are pushed to dev lines for the game teams
- Ensure fixes are integrated back to game engine team devline (when applicable)
- Document challenges and follow-ups for each integration
- Work with QA/QE to develop testing and build automation
What you need to bring to the table:
- Solid understanding of perforce concepts and good practices
- Experienced with C++, C# and Framework build scripts
- Creative Problem Solving
- Self-driven and ability to work independently
- Experience using Perforce for integrations, merge-downs and copy-ups
- General familiarity with game engine technology – able to analyze and solve general build issues in game engine
- Experience working with large scale game engines (Unreal, Unity, etc.) is preferred
Compensation: 90-110K
